This is a cool electric top that is from Colorado. The ponderosa pine trees along the Front Range have had it pretty rough due to an increased population of Mountain Pine Beetle. The beetles kill the tree but leave a cool blue stain to the wood. I found a piece which book-matched nicely. This guitar will one day be finished in blue lacquer to work with this natural color. Walnut has been used for the base of the body.
